Comptroller of finance

The Comptroller of Finance assumes responsibility for government accounting and the integrity of the government's accounting system. In this capacity, he:

  • ensures the reliability of the financial data recorded in the government's accounting system;
  • ensures compliance with the government's accounting standards, principles and conventions;
  • prepares the public accounts and other government financial reports;
  • provides consulting, support and training services to government departments and bodies and government enterprises in any area falling under his jurisdiction.
