Financial Assistance for Investment Programs

Important: Please note that changes have been made to the Financial Assistance for Investment Program to facilitate program administration. For more information on these changes, please see the November 27, 2023 ministerial order. Moreover, the deadline for applying for eligibility is December 31, 2023.

Under the March 2016 and March 2017 Québec Economic Plan and the Fall 2018 Update on Québec's Economic and Financial Situation, the government announced the extension of the establishment of electricity discount programs:

• the electricity discount program applicable to consumers billed at Rate L;
• the electricity discount program applicable to large power consumers served by off-grid systems.

Through the programs, the businesses targeted, that carry out one or more eligible investment projects, can receive government assistance in the form of reduced electricity costs in their establishments.
